Space X's Falcon Heavy Launched Successfully

The idea that humans would inhabit planets other than Earth has tickled the imagination as well as captured the awe of many people ever since the modern period began. Space exploration and terraforming have been the staple of many science fiction novels and films for as long as we can remember. This is why last February 6, 2018, mankind has reached another milestone towards exploring the final frontier when Elon Musk's Space X has test-launched Falcon Heavy. This massive 64 metric ton rocket is said to be able to carry heavier materials so they can reach the planet Mars.

Elon Musk has been eyeing on Mars for a few years now and has been very vocal about his dreams of one day having humans live and thrive off the Red Planet. The recent launch has brought mankind closer to the realization of that dream and was witnessed by a crowd of excited spectators from their site in Florida and by hundreds of thousands more from the online feed. And the test payload was a Tesla Roadster and this guy.

When Falcon Heavy lifted off, it was the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb)---a mass greater than a 737 jetliner loaded with passengers, crew, luggage and fuel--Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost. Falcon Heavy draws upon the proven heritage and reliability of Falcon 9.
